Janine Colman's nursery experience began at Waldecks Kingsley in January, 1979, under the ownership of Barry Waldeck and Management of Audrey Leishman. She soon was given her first management appointment at the Garden City Branch, Booragoon and over the years lead several stores of the Waldecks Nursery chain.

Her skills regarding the Nursery Industry are many and span from extensive product knowledge to administrative operations pertaining to the industry. She managed a number of Waldecks Nursery Stores, won many awards, trained countless apprentices and nursery staff and held numerous talks to several gardening groups as well as gardening professionals on a variety of topics.

Janine eventually resigned from nursery store management, to pursue a teaching career within the nursery industry and to undertake promotional activities for the Waldecks Nurseries chain such as mini-seminars and TV appearances. Her activities as industry lecturer and assessor with the Nursery & Garden Industry of Western Australia, NGIWA, produced many extremely able professionals over the years, many of whom are now found in key positions within the nursery industry.

Janine retired in late 2003 and now directs her attention to her own garden and to home gardeners who can find guidance and reference on this gardening website!
